Bloomingdale’s Palm Beach Gardens Honors FoundCare Health Center
Food, fashion, friends and philanthropy were just the prescription shoppers needed at Bloomingdale’s Palm Beach Gardens to raise more than $1,000 for FoundCare Health Center. As a kick-off celebration for FoundCare’s “À Votre Santé” benefit in January 2011, Bloomingdale’s honored FoundCare Health Center at a recent in-store event where guests were treated to live culinary demonstrations, a fashion show and shopping ‘til they dropped.
“A big thank you to the team at Bloomingdale’s Palm Beach Gardens for hosting such a fabulous event for FoundCare,” said Yolette Bonnet, chief executive officer for FoundCare. “It was great to see so many people there shopping for a great cause – FoundCare!”
Executive chef partner, Matt Livers from Capital Grille at Legacy Place, gave a live culinary demonstration and tasting of his exceptional cuisine while the must-have spring fashions and accessories for women, men and children were modeled by some of FoundCare’s and Illustrated Properties’ finest. Ten percent of the evening’s tracked sales went back to FoundCare Health Center, the nonprofit health center in West Palm Beach.
“FoundCare Health Center was one of our recipients for the 2009 Bloomingdale’s Fund of the Macy’s Foundation and we were excited to honor them during this event,” said Laura Gallo, General Manager for Bloomingdale’s Palm Beach Gardens. “We had a great turn out and are happy to see so many people supporting the good work FoundCare is doing to provide medical care to uninsured or underinsured residents in Palm Beach County.”
